ADOLESCENCE

We all start off as babies grow up into kids and transition into Teenagers. That's where things start to go wrong for some teens. I work in a place where I deal with people of all ages and ethnicities. Half the time I deal with teens whose parents have stopped disciplining them. There are rules and regulations that are in place and they just ignore them. One thing I have learned from my interactions with them is to be sarcastic and never show any fear. Some might say show them some kindness and I have on occasion. When I do show some sort of compassion they take it and the next day act like delinquents. The funny thing is where I work is not that great for teens to hang out. I always tell them to go to the mall or the park when there's good weather. It all falls on deaf ears. The lesson of this short ramble is if your a parent never stop caring about what your offspring is up to but also be willing to give them some room to grow when you feel that there mature and responsible.
